 For sale is a highly sought-after Heritage Press edition of The Early History of Rome by Livy. This is the famed Aubrey de Selincourt translation, still used in schools and colleges. Copyright 1972, with illustrations by Raffaele Scorzelli. This is a beautiful clothbound edition with a slipcover. Looks great: the pages are as white as if they were printed yesterday. The book is in very good condition--the slip case is in very good shape. The accompanying brochure is a bit crinkled. Please do not buy this if you must have an absolutely pristine book--books are meant to be read, so a little wear and tear is inevitable; but this copy looks great on the shelf.  I never read this copy. If you want it much newer than this, you'll have to get one of the shrink-wrapped hundred-dollar copies!
