Spanish Import Inlaid Wood Backgammon Game Chess Board

1From the estate of a man who was in the import business and brought many lovely items here to the states from Europe for possible sale orders.

This is a vintage unused inlaid wood FULL SIZED folding backgammon game, which when opened, the exterior is also a chess/chescker board 

Handmade in Artegran, Spain ... The games I will be selling were wrapped in the paper as seen in my photos. These paper wrappings are very old, but I will include a piece of this wrapper with each handmade game auction for your records.

This folding backgammon game has a chain link inlaid wood design around the exterior of the checker board. When opened, it reveals a full sized backgammon game board

When closed, this item measures 16 X 8.75 X 1.75" ... Open board measures 16 X 17.5" ... Includes a complete set of backgammon game pieces with 2 handmade 100% leather shaker cups

The interior of this game is in excellent condition. The exterior of this game has beautiful smoothly polished wood, but the black paint used on the checker board is crackling, similar to the crazing of an old ceramic vase. The black painted exterior boxes will need a re-painting job if you want to restore this item to mint condition.
