Victorian Doll-Childs Carriage circa 1890 with Original Paint, Stenciling, Surrey and Wheels.

Approximate Dimensions: 27 inches in length, 14 inches wide at wheels, 26 inches tall to top of surrey and 30 inches tall to handle. Back wheels are 14 inches in diameter.Front wheels are 12 inches in diameter. Seating area box is approximately 20 inches by 8 & 1/2 inches. Surrey measures approximately 12 & 3/4 inches by 8 inches. Metal side supports for surrey measure 12 inches in length.

Condition Notes: Wood carriage box has original red paint and stenciling. Box has wear/loss to front corners and one side has some wear/paint loss.Seat appears to be original. Paper covering in carriage box feet area and on the underside of surrey is old and appears original to the carriage.Under carriage has original wood axles and original bent metalwork like springs. Back Wheels/spokes and one front wheel/spokes are original. One front wheel has missing spokes and perimeter piece and has some replaced dowel (spoke) parts. *Do you have an 8 spoke 12 inch wood wheel?* Wheels are loose and rotate. Surrey has loses to wood and one side is missing an attachment screw for the metal side support. Fringe appears original and some is missing. Metal side supports holding the surrey are ornate and original. They have a center pivot area-no attempt has been made to bend them at the pivot area-they will remain in a straight position for shipping. Wood handle-side handle supports, surrey-ornate side supports will be removed for safe shipping.
