History:

Influenced by the 1936 Berlin Olympic games the Hungarian Herend porcelain manufactory did

a series of sports figurines, this being one of the early pieces from the 1930- 1940ies.

Description:

Shotputter, very early model cast of approx. 1936 ! 

This piece bears the model #5782 number mark on its base, an beside it the

HEREND press mark with the crown of the 1930ies.

 You will hardly find any of these antique pieces on the market nowadays and hardly ever on EBAY!

1st class piece! Condition is very good, it has no chips,

no repairs and no broken parts!
