Vintage CHEMEX Drip Type Glass Coffee Maker with LID

Vintage CHEMEX drip style coffee maker; just add a cone shape filter and pour hot water into the glass carafe.  This is large and holds and 6 to 7 cups of liquid.  Measures 9.5" height x 6" diameter.  This popular design by developed by Peter Schlumbohm during the Second World War.  Has been exhibited in many museums and has become an icon for mid century modern fans worldwide and well, coffee lovers. There's a round molded or impressed seal near the top edge which reads" Chemex, Pat. Pending.  On the bottom is made in USA and Pyrex brand glass.  The collar has no chips or cracks to the wood collar but shows usage from water hitting it through the years.  The wood ball and leather strip is in fine condition.  Comes with rare glass lid to keep it a bit warmer until your finished. I found two bubbles in the glass but they appear to the factory air bubbles.
