Offering a truly rare and exquisite 9" 1/2" Rococo English porcelain Copeland Coalport genre cabinet plate, featuring lavish intricate gilt gold green Art Nouveau trim, hand painted flowers and pink old damask rose on a pure white ground! The shape is octagonal with a curvy scallop rim that is very unusual!
WHAT A BEAUTY!
The venerable old firm of W.T. Copeland & sons, LTD, SPode Works, Stoke, Staffordshire Potteries operating from 1847, produced luxury porcelains for the mid 19th century fashion and this lovely plate, marked with the old Copeland double cypher dating to about 1855, is pure antique artistry! Like John Rose Coalport, Copeland, Copeland Garrett Spode produced luxury ceramics from the 19th century. Marked as shown, the plate is vintage antique and in marvelous condition with a few utensil marks and minor surface wear commensurate with age. There is no crazing evident, and NO DAMAGE THAT I CAN SEE OR FEEL!

Copeland, like Coalport, Aynsley, Royal Doulton and Worcester, made luxury figures and tableware from the late 19th century, and many late Victorian patterns in ornamental ware was a speciality.
