You are bidding on a 2008 Cabrinha Contra 3 Bow Kite, Size 17m in Good to Excellent condition . Retail Price for this kite package new was $1899.00 + tax in store. I have a few kites in my quiver which are not being used, thus I am selling it to slim down my quiver. The kite is in good to excellent condition with the sail is in crispy condition and the bladder rock hard - See pictures below of actual items.  The Contra kite is a great kite for all level from beginner learning the sport to advanced rider. It is a ver well rounded kite for all use. Note: The kite does have a minor repair with sailing tape. However, it does not affect the preformance of the kite, and you can hardly see it unless you walk right up close to it. Overall the kite flies great.

This is one of Cabrinha best selling kite because of its versatility; very friendly and great for beginner to learn and at the same time can be converted to a more advanced setting to ride with more power for expert riders. It is top of the line high end power kite that many of the best kiters out there use. This kite package promises to be an amazing flying experience for beginners to experts! This auction includes: the Kite and the Kite Bag only. The Control Bar & Lines is NOT included but can be added at the end. Please read below at the bottom.

This is VERY STABLE fun and friendly kite! And with its incredible "on demand" depower it is a very safe kite for any kiteboarder. We especially love it for unhooked and wave riding. Durability:
The entire canopy of the Contra is flat seamed and taped prior to sewing. This is 20% stronger than the free hand sewn method of a top stitch. Cabrinha has reinforced the high load areas of the Contra with a transitionally weighted material. This strategically placed material acts as a buffer zone between the rigid strut areas and the canopy. They also reinforced the Leading Edge and Strut seams with additional layers of material and adhesive mark cloth.

Override 2: Security Second to None
The Override method of depower has become the preferred choice from seasoned pros to 1st time riders. It doesnt get any easier than this. Just place the control bar in the Override mode and the kite will immediately begin to depower and drop from the sky. With Override you can avoid many accidents before they happen by maintaining control of the power of your kite at all times.

The Override 2 stopper unit provides a place to rest your control bar if youd like to unspin your lines. When the Override stopper unit is seated on its sleeve you can temporarily let go of the control bar and unspin your lines. To place the bar into Override mode you can simply push past the stopper unit and the kite will immediately begin to depower and fall from the sky.

Versatile Control system
The Convert implements Cabrinha's feature-rich yet easy to use Powerdrive 2N1 control system. The Powerdrive 2N1 can be ridden with the Convert in either the pulley or non-pulley mode depending on your riding preference. The PD 2N1 features the adjustable Override 2 stopper unit, bungeed power adjusters, centerline adjustment trim strap, soft embossed EVA grip, a quick release harness loop and a Bypass security leash.

The Powerdrive 2N1 control system comes standard with Cabrinha's Override 2 stopper unit. In addition to its hands free spinning feature, the Override 2 stopper integrates the bungeed power adjusters. The-easy-to-use power adjusters put the trim of your kite easily within reach. This often imitated but never duplicated feature keeps your entire control system simple, streamlined and free of clutter.

The Powerdrive 2N1 control system now implements Cabrinha's new forged alloy section with an expanded entry and exit opening for the depower line. This feature increases the ease of bar movement over the depower line even at extreme angles.

The Powerdrive 2N1 features the adjustable Override 2 stopper unit, 2:1 pulley system, bungeed power adjusters, centerline adjustment trim strap, soft embossed EVA grip, a quick release harness loop and a Bypass security leash.

Override 2: Depower on Demand.
Override’s depower on demand is as simple as it gets. Simply push the control bar into the Override mode and the kite will immediately depower and begin to drop from the sky. You can avoid many accidents before they happen by maintaining control of the power of your kite at all times. With Override 2 this often imitated concept has gone one better. Cabrinha has added a new user adjustable Override stopper unit. Now you, the rider, can now choose the release load of the Override stopper unit. A new integrated tension ring can be adjusted for either a lighter or more positive release load depending on your skill level or riding preference.

Override 2. The ability to depower on demand by just pushing the control bar away from the rider.

The Convert comes with our versatile Powerdrive 2N1 S control system. The 2N1 S control system allows you to ride in either the 2:1 pulley mode or the 1:1 mode with the pulleys disabled.

In 2:1 mode the pulleys effectively double the steering, powering and depowering inputs. For the amount of distance you move the control bar you effectively double the reaction on the kite. This creates precision control, rocket fast turning, and puts you in charge of your kite at all times.

In 1:1 mode the disabling of the pulleys virtually eliminates all bar pressure and provides a smooth power and depower band. Great for freeriding and unhooked wakestyle riding.

CABRINHA TECHNOLOGY FEATURES SINGLE POINT RAPID INFLATION SYSTEM (Sprint™) The Sprint™ inflation system is a simple to use feature to quickly inflate your kite to an even pressure. The Sprint™ system uses a single inflation point to connect your high volume, two way Cabrinha pump. As you pump your kite with air, all struts and your leading edge inflate quickly and simultaneously to the desired pressure. The supplied leash pump and threaded valve connection keeps your kite under control even when pumping up directly in the wind. Once the kite is pumped you can choose to clip off, or isolate the air contained in the struts. This way if you damage a strut while in use, the rest of the kite will continue to maintain its pressure. At the end of the session you can choose to deflate your kite completely by disengaging the strut air clips. Or you can keep your struts inflated and put your kite away rolled up so that the next session will takes just minutes to set up.

INSTANT RELAUNCH ON COMMMAND- The Contra’s relaunch capability is so easy that your hands never have to leave the control system. By simply pointing the end of the control system towards the kite, the wing tip will rise off of the water and launch the kite into the sky. Unlike other relaunch methods, The Contra allows you to decide when to launch the kite and which direction it goes into the air. Its simple... and it keeps the control in your hands... where it should be.

Two of the elements credited for the Contra’s amazing relaunch are: The curved shape of the leading edge and the swept wing tips. Together they allow the kite to “unstick” by reducing contact to the water or snow when the leading edge is face down. The constant curvature of the leading edge allows the kite to easily roll onto a wing tip and lift off the water.

The Bow kite bridle is also responsible for allowing you to choose the direction you would like to launch the kite. This clearly puts the Contra in a class of its own amongst a sea of hybrid kites which don’t allow this function. This important function becomes an added safety feature when your kite is sitting next to an obstacle like rocks, a pier, other riders or swimmers.

For example: if you want to lift the right facing wing tip just point the right side of the control system directly at the kite and hold until the wing tip rises off of the water. When the kite launches you can easily control how fast or how slow you’d like it to fly.

If you want to speed up the relaunch process you can always just grab a leader line instead, flip the kite on its side and shoot it up into the sky. The Contra’s easy relaunch sets a new standard in kite control. Simple. Fast. And at your command.

This high capacity pump will get you up and riding in no time. Cabrinha's dual action pump is the finest on the market and a great value for the money. Its metal shaft provides a ridged platform and helps prevent jamming while pumping. Unlike its plastic counterparts, this pump's shaft won't break. This new pump has a decompression valve that will allow the user to switch from dual pump mode to single pump mode making it easier on the riders lower back during pump-up.
