As may be seen in the listing picture the front cover has chips off the edges (also chips off the back cover) and there is a handstamp for Yale University Library at the top. The front cover and first 2 leaves are detached. There 19 pages in the book. The pages are clean.

The entire book is a Historical Sketch of the Congregational Church in Harpswell, Maine. It begins with the building of the church in 1758 and quotes from a diary kept at that time by Elisha Eaton, who lived in Boston and was a carpenter and son of the Rev. Elisha Eaton.
