The follow-up to the beautiful SPANISH DANCE TROUPE, this 2001 mid-career album follows in a similarly soft-focus vein, with sweet, strummy waltzes ("Dead-Aid"), mellow shuffles ("Can Megan"), and starlit piano ballads ("Christina"), all proffered with the easy, shrugging amiability of their previous efforts. The Welsh band seems to have abandoned their native language altogether on this release, singing smart and poignant lyrics in English, but still radiating an appealing aura of otherness.
