Large Smoky Quartz Pegmatite Sheet Crystal

This delightful smoky crystal,
a pegmatite growth,
from Conselheiro Pena,
Minas Gerias, Brazil, 
features a 
large sheet quartz formation

in a deep cola color.
This crystal has
well defined surface striations
with captivating patterns that are

 especially well chiseled on one side.
There are multiple terminations
on the upper end.
The opposite end has a beveled ledge 
topped by a ridge formed from
the concave formation on the top
of the reverse side.
This richly hued crystal

will reveal a lovely translucency

when held up a light source.
Note also the rainbow pool
in the close-up.
 This sensational sheet crystal
 is 7 1/2" tall, 4" across and
varies from 1/2"-to-1 1/2" thick. 

It weighs 1 1/2 pounds.

Sheet quartz is said to
