DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HISTORY: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AMERICAN HISTORY BUT NEVER LEARNED by Kenneth C. Davis, Copyright 1995.

"A BOOK THAT NOT ONLY FILLS IN GAPS IN HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE, BUT IS GENUINElY ENTERTAINING....WONDERFUL!"--Monica Strand, Orlando Sentinel

From Columbus's voyage to the Clinton administration, author Kenneth C. Davis carries the reader on a rollicking ride through 600 years of Americana. With wit, candor and fascinating facts, he explodes long-held myths and misconceptions--revealing the very human side of history that the textbooks neglect.

"If you've always wondered exactly what Boss Tweed bossed and what Tammany Hall was, Davis is your man."--Washington Post Book World

"Davis writes with humor, he can turn a fine phrase...If history were usually taught this way, we wouldn't have to worry about the closing of the American mind."--Micaela Sullivan-Fowler, Booklist

"Quirky, sardonic, accurate, rudimentary and often amusing...A breezy question-and-answer approach that is far removed from the massive textbooks all of us once lugged around."--Hank Ezell, Atlanta Journal and Constitution

"Refreshing and vastly informative...Fun, engrossing and significant...History in Daviss hands is loud, coarse, painful, funny, irreverent--and memorable."--Patricia Holt, San Francisco Chronide

This softbound book measures 5-3/8" x 8-1/8", contains 478 pages and is in very good condition (there is rubbing wear on the edges of the cover and some discoloration on the edges of the pages, but the text is clean and bright).

High bidder pays $3.65 shipping and handling (international buyers pay higher shipping costs). Shipping will be by least expensive method (3 weeks) unless buyer requests other arrangements. Personal checks and money orders are accepted, as well as Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card (credit cards are accepted through PayPal). Personal check orders will be held for 10 days in order to clear the bank. Money order and credit card purchases will be shipped immediately. We will e-mail upon receipt of payment. Positive feedback will be left for all buyers as soon as payment is received.
