~ Vintage 1940's 2 Piece Grey Wool Blend Suit ~

This suit is definately vintage 40's in very good wearable condition.  It is a 2 piece set in a Wool Blend Grey.  The Jacket is lined in a crepe/silk like material in a brown color.  Dry Cleaning tag is still attacked inside.  There are 3 actual buttons that secure the front and two faux buttons.  The lapel collar has a red ribbon like piece of material sewn just under and around the edges to give a slight red edge.  There are two darts to cinch the waist on both front and both sides.  Two real pockets, Long sleeves, 1940's shoulder pads, cuff with two buttons.  The neckline is discolored (unseen when wearing the item) but the rest is in excellent condition!  The matching skirt is a pencil cut, one inch waist band  and was tailored to fit the owner.  Single button closure and side metal zipper.   Super good quality and heavy piece so shipping is expensive and insurance is required.

Flat measurements are:

Jacket shoulders seam to seam 15", under arm seam to seam 18"

Skirt:  Waist 13.5", Hips 19", length 25"

I purchased the set to wear myself from a second party to the orginal owner.  I love it...so much I am afraid to wear it with my large hips. 

It fits me at 36", 30", 41", however hips could use smaller person.
