Promaster 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 LD
Aspherical Zoom Lens
f/ Minolta AF Maxxum/Sony Alpha
Minty!
In this listing, you are bidding on a lens that can do it all, covering your shooting all the way from a 28mm wide angle to a 200mm medium telephoto, in a very compact, lightweight package: the Promaster 28-200mm Aspherical Zoom. This lens is a newer lens manufactured by Sigma, and is the version with a 72mm filter thread.
The lens comes with both caps.
If you are looking for a lens that will do everything, and do it well at an affordable price, then look no further. And you’ll keep lens changes and DSLR sensor contamination to a minimum with this excellent “walk around” lens.
“LD” refers to “Low Dispersion” optics – glass that is specially coated to improve image contrast and reduce chromatic aberration and is found in better lens design.
This lens is in minty condition. You’ll be hard pressed to find any cosmetic wear – all I can note are a couple of minor scuffs. In fact, overall, the lens looks almost brand new.
Optically, there are no scratches, blemishes to the glass, or fungus or dust inside.
The aperture is clean and snappy, and the mount is clean and unmarked. The zoom and focus move smoothly. Considering the focal range, the focusing is amazingly fast and precise due to the internal focusing design. With its non-rotating front element, using a circular polarizer is a cinch.
The use of aspherical elements in the lens reduces the number of elements and allows the compact design, a close minimum focus and internal focusing. All of this makes the Sigma 28-200mm a perfect traveling lens. You have 95% of your shooting covered with this one lens that weighs just over 13 ounces and measures in at 3.5 inches. Talk about traveling light and reducing lens changes! (less sensor contamination)
Features:
· Focusing distance: 50 cm
· 2 Aspherical elements
· Lens construction: 14 elements in 16 groups
· Weight : 390 g.
· Length: approx 3.5”

The Fine Print!
All auction items tested and inspected prior to auction listing. I guarantee your item will not arrive D.O.A. Furthermore, your auction win will arrive very clean and well packed.
Equipment Grading:
The grading of equipment is very subjective, but I try to estimate condition conservatively. Rarely will I call an item “mint”. This is an overused descriptor on Ebay and can result in a disappointed buyer. The equipment I list is previously owned, and even the best cared for equipment can show some light signs of use. For that reason, 99% of the time, the highest I will grade an item is “mint minus”. Generally, I list equipment that I would be happy to own myself, and I’m picky about my gear. Occasionally I do come across a “dog”, but as such, it will be photographed, priced and described accordingly.
All photos are of the actual item you are bidding on. I do not use ‘stock’ photos.
If you have any questions regarding an item or auction, please email me.
Bidding:
Do not bid if you do not intend to pay. Buyers can bid with confidence knowing they are receiving excellent merchandise.
Payment:
Payment is due within 72 hours of auction closing. If you require a little extra time to make payment, a simple email request at the auction close will work! If paying by Money Order, let me know and I will await its arrival.
Please note: Money Orders accepted from U.S. and Canadian customers only. US Money Orders should be pink colored “International” draft. All others can use Paypal or Moneybookers.com to make payment. Bank drafts are ok, too.
Shipping:
Shipping is through Canada Post’s air and ground parcel service and is generally very reliable. Canadian packages include tracking and $100 CAD insurance.
· For US destinations, I will include free tracking and insurance if the auction price (not incl. shipping) is $120 or more.
· For other packages (US Small Packet Air, less than $120, and International) the rate includes $100 CAD insurance only (about $95 US) but no tracking.
· If you live in a country where the mail system is not reliable, I suggest you upgrade and purchase tracking!
I am not responsible for loss or damage once your item has entered the mail system, but I will assist you in making a claim if your item is lost or damaged in transit. Should you prefer, alternate shipping can be arranged with expedited delivery, tracking and/or extra insurance, at a sometimes significantly higher cost, dependent upon destination and service.
Please contact me at auction close if you wish to upgrade shipping. (The cost is only about $5 more to the U.S. but can double internationally.)
If you use “private feedback”, I will insist that you pay for tracking your package.
Combined Shipping:
Please contact me for an item specific combined shipping rate for items purchased in my Ebay Store.
Returns:
If you are not satisfied with your item because you feel it has been grossly misrepresented, please contact me via email so that we can come to a mutually agreeable solution to the issue. I will accept returned merchandise provided you have emailed me within 7 days of receipt of your item, and we have agreed that this is the course to take. Your satisfaction with the item is my primary concern.
Feedback:
Once your item has arrived and you are happy with it, please leave appropriate feedback. I will leave positive feedback as well once I have seen that everything is in order and you are satisfied. If you are not happy, please contact me so we can work it out rather than “duke” it out in the Feedback section! Thanks for reading my “Fine Print” and Good Luck!
