This incredible one-of-a-kind ring is vintage Navajo pawn from Arizona and is quite old. It contains a gorgeous Sleeping Beauty Oval Shaped turquoise. This ring measures 1 1/8 x 6/8" and is a 6 ring size. The Navajos keep their finest jewelry on their reservation and seldom is this top quality available.

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise

 

The Sleeping Beauty mine is located outside of Globe, Arizona and produces blue to light blue turquoise with little to no matrix. Mined from its granite host rock, the Sleeping Beauty mine yields only a small amount of high quality turquoise, making it much rarer and more valuable than the larger quantity low-grade turquoise it also produces. With the preponderance of turquoise enhanced (often called "stabilized") from the Sleeping Beauty mine, the value placed on the high grade rises.
