The Seven Years' War took place from 1756 to 1763, and saw the British and the French battling for control of colonies in North America and India. The British vs. French Chessmen let you reenact this historical battle, facing off the two European powers in a struggle for domination of your chessboard.

Constructed of poly-resin plastic, these pieces are hand-painted in striking detail and include historically accurate depictions of the uniforms of the time. History buffs will appreciate the reference. Chess buffs will love the conflict.

This set includes your choice of boards.

Made of a cold cast polyresin with a  3 1/4"" tall King,  Base: 1-1/8".

This is such a beautiful set that, even when you are not playing, it deserves to be left out.

Some of our chess sets (like this one) do not come with a board on the theory that you should not be forced to buy a board if you already have one.

So, we give the choice. You can use your original board, or purchase one of the boards from the pictures. We believe these boards match the item
