Funny StoryI was just at the NY State Scholastic Championships in Saratoga Springs, NY. A customer comes in and goes straight to our scorebook piles and picks up one of the hardcover scorebooks. They bring it over to me and start reading me the riot act on how bad the scorebooks are and that they want their money back. I asked them what was wrong and they start going off on how the thing just fell apart and the pages don't stay in it. They admitted they did not buy it from me, but since we produce them we should know. Turns out they bought it at from one of my competitors that sells one of the bootleg copies. I explained how most of my new ideas get stolen and copied by my unscrupulous competition. I explained the overseas copies are just cheap imitations of the real thing. I was a little surprised that they paid full price for it too! I made sure they had one of my cards and a pat on the back. They left a little embarrassed but I know they will always buy their scorebooks from me now! Don't be fooled by imposter hardcover scorebooks. Others on the market, the pages are only glued in, and will fall out! Get the best, Get Rochester Chess !!! Everyone else has the scorebooks without the sewn binding. Theirs are only glued. The reason this is HUGE is that glued bindings allow the pages to fall out when the binding cracks. There are only 2 companies that have hardcover scorebooks that hold up.
