Superbly crafted sculpture from The Franklin Mint sold in 1983. Beautifully detailed in fine bisque porcelain and accented in 24K gold. Santa is realistically hand painted in custom colors. The sculpture was designed and created by RONALD VAN RUYKEVELT. Mr Ronald Van Ruykevelt is a world renowned artist who has designed a multitude of western themed sculptures, many of them for The Franklin Mint, as well as creations for Pres. Kennedy, Queen Elizabeth, and the Emperor of Japan. This impressive figure features a traditional Santa who carries over his shoulder a sampling of his special toys. Wrapped presents are at his feet. He waves a candy cane high over his head in his gloved hand. His face is outlined with a white beard and he has expressive & kind blue eyes. He wears the traditional red suit with accurate details. The hardwood base, which when used, adds approximately one inch to the height of the figure. New condition with no damage or repairs. Fully hallmarked on bottom of sculpture. This is a rare & long discontinued item from The Franklin Mint.
