Up for auction is this great antique victorian porcelain shaving mug.  The mug stands 3.75 inches in height by 4.5 inches wide including the handle.  I believe the mug to be European in origin.  It has a great transferware romantic pastoral scene on the front.  The inside of the mug is divided with a cup section that has 3 drilled holes in the porcelain.  The mug is not signed that I can tell.  There is one mark on the bottom appears to have been done before the firing process.  The mark looks like either a cursive M or the number 221 with all the numbers connected.  I have tried to capture it the best I can in the image.  The mug is in great condition with not chips, cracks or repairs.  There is some loss to the goldwork.  It is a really beautiful piece.
