DYSNOMIAN DRAGONS

THEIR STORY:

Sir Bedivere was a trusty supporter of King Arthur from the beginning of his reign, and one of the first knights to join the fellowship of the Round Table.

Sir Bedivere had only one hand later in life, having lost one of his hands in a battle. Bedivere was present at the Last Battle, the fateful Battle of Camlan. He and Arthur alone survived the battle, and he was given the command by Arthur to throw Excalibur back into the Lake.

After lying twice to Arthur, he finally tossed the precious sword out into the lake, and the hand of the Lady of the Lake came up and retrieved the sword to its watery home. But not before Sir Bedivere could defeat one last evil with the help of Excalibur.

Sir Bedivere had one final enemy, an Empress Dragon who no living being knew the dragon’s name, and no magikal power or spell was able to call on it, therefore the Empress Dragon was undefeated, and reeked chaos and havoc though out the land.

She was most clever never to be seen in the same place twice as the same being, and she could transform into any living being in the blink of an eye.

Sir Bedivere set off with Excalibur and a righteous indignation that burned in his soul, to the point that he couldn’t even eat food. All he took was a flask of water that was blessed by the magician to always lead him to water, and to home.

People of all lands saw him on his travels and prayed for his success, and soon the quest was spoken of everywhere, notwithstanding the dragon herself.

After, a two month trek, Sir Bedivere sat near a calm pool of water, filling his flask, as a beautiful young maiden startled him. She asked him of his journey, and laughed deeply when he told her of his quest to kill the Empress Dragon.

Taken back by her seeming lack of faith in his ability, he drew his sword, Excalibur gleamed in the sunlight, and the maiden held her ears screaming in pain. Surprised by her reaction, he turned to sheathe the sword, when he saw the maiden’s reflection in the calm pool of water.

It was the Empress Dragon disguised as a maiden, with lightening speed, Sir Bedivere drew the sword, and Excalibur burned deeply into the maiden’s neck.

Instantly a foul stench of sulfuric acid and burning flesh filled the air, as the Dragon appeared. The Empress new her demise was near, and pleaded with Sir Bedivere to spare her a painful death, by finishing her off.

Sir Bedivere denied the Empress that luxury unless she revealed her name to him. She gasped in sulfuric pain and agreed, he held Excalibur up for the final blow, and waited for her response. “Dysnomia”, escaped her wicked fangs and he made his move.

“With the power in Excalibur, and the honor of the round table, I Sir Bedivere, give charge of Dysnomia to the heavens!”, and he run the dragon through and with the power of the god’s he cast the dragon’s body into the heavens for eternity.


Legends tell of a fiery ball that soared through the heavens, the Empress Dysnomia, reached out and collected the essence of the universe and held it to her wounds, by the time she had floated to the ends of the solar system, she had healed herself, and took homage on a very small moon.

She later gave birth to her twin babies and thus began the race of the Dysnomian Dragons.

Over many thousand years, the Dysnomian Dragons prospered and lived under the rule and creed of their empress.

This existence on a new planet produced an overgrowth of a NEW BREED of DRAGON! Now, with their great skill and powers they returned to earth, to protect the goodness in people and to fight the presences of chaos and havoc!
