DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION:

This is an original 1904 story from McClure's Magazine. The story is 12 pages long and contains 8 in-text illustrations. It is NOT the entire issue of the magazine.

This is a romance story, geared towards women. It was written by JEANNETTE COOPER, who wrote several women-oriented stories for the popular magazines of her day. The pretty, period illustrations are the work of CHARLOTTE HARDING (1873 - 1951) who was an artist and a magazine illustrator.

This first publication of Jeannette Cooper's "A Candid Violet" is a wonderful, 104 yr. old historic find!

Documentation of the source of the article will be included.

The item is in very good condition, no markings, no odors, no wear. It measures approximately 6-1/2" x 9-1/4" (16,5 x 23,5cm)
