"Thought Crime Spree" punishes with its blistering blast beats; "Loathsome" slashes and scrapes the listener with what almost sounds like a groove; and throughout, lead singer J.R. Hayes's howl is so furious it's as if it contains not simply his own pain but that of the entire world.
