1940's Empire Style sofa in the manner of Parzinger or Gibbings. This particular sofa reminded me of a couple of the more obscure and most desired designs of Parzinger or Gibbings, the ones with a much more severe nod to tradtion and a restrain of their more flamboyant personal styles. The lines appeal to me much like Parzingers designs. Down-filled cushion. Brass capped feet . Other metal detail possibly gilt bronze.
Recent flame stitch upholstery has a couple very small stains that are hidden well in the fabrics color and sheen. Only the owner would know they were there. The right back leg has a split and needs some attention. An attractive and usable comfortable sofa none the less, with very nice neo-classical lines.
Perfect for that historical modernism look. Pick up only/winning bidder arranges shipping delivery. Paypal only.
