Custom Sewing, Special Occasion Wear, and Quilts

Just think of it....my time with your ideas!

I have been sewing for well over 40 years for both fun and profit. I do it mainly because it is my true love---sewing special occasion wear for children. Christening gowns, layettes, Christmas, Easter, First Communions, Flower girls, Confirmation or a special birthday dress. You name it and I'll make it a family heirloom for certain.

I will work with your fabrics, dresses, family heirlooms, or my own stock. Think of it, you may have a beautiful old dress that has been in the family for years and just don't want to get rid of it, but no one will wear it---why not make it into something special for a little one in the family and then hand it down for even more generations? You find a beautiful antique dress in a shop somewhere---turn it into a family heirloom Christening gown or layette set for a newborn.

I also do custom quilts.  Maybe you have a new home or just remodeled a room in your house and a new quilt will set of the decor just perfect. The object may not necessarily need to be a full quilt, maybe just a wall accent for a place such as an entry way or even a bathroom. Maybe someone has given you a lot of fabric and you have no idea what to do with it, why not put it to work for you or a loved one by making a keepsake for them. Please allow a minimum of 6-8 weeks for the production of these, depending on the size.

I also do work for teens and adults.

I am willing to work in any time frame that allows and with any budget. I charge $13.00 an hour flat rate. If I use my inventory the charge is cost plus 15% for acquisition costs.
