Up for bid is a genuine Steiff stuffed pig dating from the 1950s. The pig is 6” long and 2 ¾” tall with a hard body and felt ears, nose, and tongue. It was obviously a much loved childhood companion and, as such, shows some signs of wear. It is missing both the paper tag and the ear button (though there is a slight tear in the left ear where the button once was) and there is some slight thinning of the mohair along the front seam, but is otherwise in very good condition. The eyes are bright blue glass and the tail is remarkably well preserved for a piece of this age. This is a rare find and would be a great addition to any Steiff collection.
