VINTAGE ROLLING PIN~GINGERBREAD~CANDY CANES~PRIM

     Hello and welcome to my auction, I am so glad you are here! I would like to offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful customers who have either bought or shown an interest in my work. You are all just so amazing! It is my greatest pleasure to make things for you to enjoy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Today I have listed for your consideeration a very sweet new design on a vintage wooden rolling pin with very worn painted red handles featuring a cute little gingerbread and three rag strip candy canes! (BE SURE TO SEE ALL THE CLOSEUP)! I created this with lots of care and details using the rolling pin with a homespun hanger tied on, german statice, green cedar, bay leaves, princess pine, cinnamon sticks, clusters of red berries, tiny pine cones, creamy white  flowers, red pip berries, and swirls of  grasses. The special highlights here are the gingerbread and three rag strip candy canes. The gingerbread was cut from muslin, painted, baked and grunged, he has painted eyes and buttons on his tummy and is wearing a homespun scarf with a rusty bell. The candy canes are strips of stained muslin and strips of grunged homespun. The canes have been dusted with sparkles for a nice prim finish. I finished with a grunged hang tag that says "Olde Fashioned Treats1883" with a black dash border and stars.  Perfect for your country or prim home treasures for the upcoming holiday season! Hang this in your kitchen and you will lots of inspiration for your holiday baking!  To care for eucalyptus and all dried and preserved materials, they should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high humidity.
