I'm pleased to offer this beautiful original Plein Air oil painting titled Across Pear Lake. It is painted on a stretched 18 x 24 inch archival canvas with archival paints in impressionist style. The canvas is gallery wrapped and the staples are on the back. A signed Certificate of Authenticity is shipped with the painting.

This is a vision of hiking through Sequoia National Park in California's High Sierra Nevadas and suddenly coming to a clearing and seeing the Pear Lake. This is an Alpine Lake fed by the melting snows and the glaciers. It's late afternoon so it's time to set up camp for the night. There is a stillness in the air and a million stars will soon be twinkling in a black sky. Unless the moon comes out to play!

The colors on your screen are accurate to the original but remember that they will vary from monitor to monitor and a photo does not capture the colors or intricacy of the actual painting. The painting is sold unframed. This picture will frame to approximately 24 x 30 inches and look great in a living room, a den, an office, a bedroom, a family room or a vacation home:

This is one of a series of my Plein Aire paintings of various locations in California. There are many beautiful sights to inspire a painter: the powerful Pacific Ocean, the river rapids and glass-calm lakes, the rolling foothills and majestic Sierra Nevada mountains, and the strangely serene deserts. And ancient trees that live nowhere else on earth. I can't wait to get back out there!
