The film is based on actual events in the life of German undercover journalist, Gunter Wallraff, and his infiltration of "The Daily Standard," one of the most powerful newspapers in Western Europe.

Gunter Wallraff exposed "The Daily Standard" in a book he later wrote.

Shown at the Seattle International Film Fetival June 5, 1990.

NEAR MINT / GUARANTEED QUALITY!

This is a carefully handled, Full Screen VHS video tape cassette.  Both the outer sleeve and tape cartridge are in LIKE NEW condition.  There may be some minor corner wear on the sleeve from storage and handling.  It is a PROMOTIONAL edition (PLEASE see my NOTE below), designated by variations of the sleeve artwork and/or cassette label.  I got it new, and it has been stored in a dust cover (included free) and safely archived in a climate controlled environment ever since.  I’ve watched it once - twice at the most.  Yep, I’ve got too many movies.

NOTE:  This is a PROMO edition of the video, also known as a "SCREENER."  It is the full-length movie, unedited and complete, however messages appear on-screen stating it was distributed for promotional use only.  I generally don't sell screeners unless the film is out of print, like this one (as of this writing), and a commercial DVD edition is not available in the USA.  I do give some of them away, though:  type FREE VHS in the search window of my eBay store for items which include bonus videos.  Screeners usually have different or modified artwork on the outer sleeve, and often contain screener-only promotional material on the cassette, sometimes making them even more unusual and collectible editions than the retail versions.  The cartridges often have different stickers or printing, too, or sometimes no sticker at all.  Please be aware that if a stock photo is visible in the item specifics, it was added for reference to illustrate the difference between the commercial release and the screener photographed for this listing.  If there is no difference, besides a small promo notice or two on the cover, I may use the stock photo only.
