Mens Vintage Brent Beacon Blanket Robe












As cozy today as when it was created, this handsome Brent robe of genuine Beacon fabric is used but not worn. It's well over 50 years old, but looks fantastic.

A warm brown background is decorated with cream, gray and black geometrics, placing it in the 30's or 40's. The shawl collar is 3 inches wide and piped in brown and cream. The same roped piping adorns the cuffs,  both front pockets and the third pocket on the left breast.

The belt is made up of the same roping, but appears to have been a cat's play toy for a while. The robe is in great shape. The same cannot be said for the belt tie.

I measured the robe when it was lying flat for photos. Arranged so it was folded on the side seam, the front just met which is why the chest measurement seems so large. Properly closed on my model, Gunther, it fits like a medium. Gunther is a 42.

If I will be gone longer than a 48 hour period, I will note this as additional information in the description.

All items are examined, measured, documented, photographed and described to within an inch of their vintage lives. All garments are measured lying flat and the measurements are then doubled. I do my best to put models into clothing that fits them but sometimes they may be clipped for photographs. This will be noted in the description. Sometimes I use the mannequins and nobody is shaped like that so pay attention to the measurements. Vintage clothing has had a previous life of which I know nothing. It has plenty of life left to enjoy. Clothing is steamed or ironed prior to photographing. It is up to the buyer to clean it. Non clothing items are treated just as reverently. Nothing you will see on these pages is new. My motto is if it's used it has value; if it's new, it's suspect. Returns are not accepted unless an item has been grossly misrepresented. Please contact me to arrive at a mutually satisfactory resolution. I will issue positive feedback when they item has been mailed out. I adore my vintage and the crazy things I find while searching for it. I've had some things more than 20 years and some since yesterday. In either case, it's hard to let go of it.
