Beautiful pair of vintage horse head bookends that I picked up at a recent old estate settlement - they were sold as made of marble or alabaster - I do not know how to differentiate, so please review pix to make a determination. They are made of two pieces - the base is screwed into the statue - approx 10 1/2 inches tall x 5 inches long at the base x 2 3/4 inches wide at the base (statue is approx 1 1/2 inches wide). There is a reddish brown vein in a small portion on the back of one of the statues - you can see it in all three pix - I think it adds to the piece, but some may not so I wanted to point it out.
Very nice old set - very functional or would be a welcome addition to any collection.
