OVERVIEW:

For your bidding pleasure, we have a terrific, older L.L. Bean Lap Top, Backpack, Messenger, Briefcase, all-in-one!  Originally priced at $60.00, it was a steal, THEN!  It is called the “BIG EASY PACK,” and has been discontinued. 

Apologies for the higher shipping price!  This is a large, bulky item to ship.  Rest assured, we will only charge EXACT shipping to your location and refund any difference after packaging and knowledge of exact shipping cost.

CARRYING OPTIONS:

Not only does this bag have a neoprene, hand-held, handle on the top, middle to carry briefcase style; it also has thick, padded, adjustable backpack straps, (for when you’re sprinting through the airport!) as well as a removable shoulder strap, also padded, so you can carry it long from the shoulder or cross-body, messenger style for added security.  BTW, the backpack straps are semi-removable.  The hard, plastic dog leash clasps can unclip the  backpack straps from the bottom of the bag, to be neatly tucked inside the backing of the pack, which snaps shut so they don’t stray.  Increase pictures to review.

Made of sturdy 100% Polyester and 100% Nylon, this bag is light weight, yet SO WELL CONSTRUCTED!  This pack is made to last!  Done in a BLACK and  PURPLE the pack is easily appropriate for a man or a woman! 

ORGANIZATION

If you like organization, this is definitely the bag for you!  There are more pockets, pouches, mesh sleeves and slip pockets – zipped and drop-in - than you’ll probably EVER need!   Seriously!  The bag is organized with a front flap containing a HUGE diagonal, zipped, pocket that buckles in place with two, squeeze clips.  Open the flap and you’ll find a mesh home for any number of personal technology items, e.g., pens, a wallet, PDA, MP3, etc., as well as two more, zipped pockets.  The cavernous interior is accessed by two, bi-directional, industrial (HEAVY DUTY) zippers with two, huge, metal zipper-pulls, each with a black & purple canvas cord knotted through the zipper-pull. 

There is even a “hidden section” (not really “hidden,” just seems like it!).  The apparent “bottom” unzips - again with bi-directional zipper-pulls – and yields an additional space where more contents can be packed.  If the space isn’t needed, just cinch up the straps, and it “disappears” under the front flap!  “SWEET…” as the young kids say!

This is a great bag because it will easily hold the largest (even the older) laptops with files, papers, a newspaper and a even a couple of changes of clothes, never mind, multiple text books, sermons, projects, etc.  This bag will help you stay organized, and look good doing it!

(Please note: L.L.Bean specs say the measurements are 17” x 25”, but it didn’t measure quite that big to me, even with the “hidden area” pulled down.

You might be interested in reviewing the bags/backpacks/luggage at L.L.Bean,  http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?categoryId=676&catalogId=1&storeId=1&langId=-1&nav=gnro, which range in price from $29.00 to $199.00!   And they no longer have a multi-purpose bag that serves all three needs: hand held (like a briefcase), backpack and shoulder/messenger!  They probably want you to buy all THREE bags!  This bag retailed for $60.00!  Aren’t you glad we don’t have to pay RETAIL, anymore?!   YEAAAAAA Ebay!! 

CONDITION:

This is a VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED bag, made to LAST, in “GOOD” to “VERY GOOD,” PRE-OWNED condition.  Please note: “PRE-OWNED” means the bag has been USED BEFORE; it is NOT NEW!  If this is an issue for you, best to pass this one by.  If, however, you’re looking for a great deal on an excellent, EXPENSIVE, organizational pack, then this IS the one for you. 

“GOOD” to “VERY GOOD” condition indicates that there are a couple of issues of note.  There are no rips, tears, or scent.  But there appears to have been some “spillage” on the front of the bag, as you can see in the picture of the “L.L. Bean,” logo.  There is also some additional staining on the front, in the purple area, and a few more on the bottom, front, black area.  None are horrible, but the ARE evident. 

WAHING INSTRUCTIONS

The bag IS washable, but I’ll leave that to the new owner.  The tag inside indicates that it is washable, but it is not recommended.  I have washed my backpacks before and they come out fine.  If you put it inside a large pillow case and wash it alone in cold water, then hang or lay flat to dry, it will probably come out.  But we are not guaranteeing this, and you should bid with the above in mind, as there are no returns.  Honestly, it is not that bad; I would give it a good, solid B with year’s of use remaining.  Bag comes from a pet and smoke FREE environment.  There are no issues on the inside: no rips, tears, pulls or stains of any kind.  All hardware and zippers are in perfect working condition, and all zipper-pulls have the knotted, pull-cord threaded through the zippers.

This is a GREAT designer find; GREAT value for the money, too and it is available to you here at a FRACTION of the original, PRICE!!
