The Nikkor Auto 135mm f/2.8 is a long-focus lens of telephoto design with a relatively large maximum aperture. Despite its high speed, it delivers crisp images with high contrast at any aperture. Distortion correction is consistent down to closeup distances. Automatic diaphragm control guarantees the brightest possible viewfinder images for composing and focusing, and the lens coupling prong connects the lens with the Nikkormat or Photomic-series thru-the-lens meters for full aperture exposure measurement.

An excellent choice for indoor sports or theatrical productions, the lens is also suitable for portraits and landscapes. It has a built-in collapsible hood. To use the hood, turn the front rim counterclockwise and slide it out. Then make another slight turn to lock it in place.
Lens was used on a Classic F2 and Nikkormat.

I have found this website useful for obtaining additional information. Look up the lens type by the serial number (313373). Lens has 5 straight slot screws.

Spec sheet includes info. about recommended focusing screens, photographic ranges with close-up attachments, accessories, lens care and depth of field. Lens hood is a built-in telescopic type. L37 and cap included. Rear cap is missing.
