This auction is for a William Britain Toy Soldier diecast metal  toy soldiers made by Britain Collectibles.  This series of hand-crafted pewter miniatures capture the drama and conflict in battle. With more than 100 years of experience, the Wm. Britain name has earned legendary status by producing the most finely detailed and historically accurate lead-free pewter soldiers in the industry. Each finely sculpted 1:32nd scale soldier begins as an artist's sketch, with particular attention paid to proper perspective and body mechanics. Details from uniform insignias to appropriate period hairstyles are authenticated by historians and through a vast library of books. The sketches are then sculpted in wax, and rubber molds are formed around the wax figures. Consumer-safe lead-free pewter is then hand-poured into the molds and spun-cast. The soldiers are then each painstakingly painted by hand. This highly detailed and finely crafted set is in mint/new condition in the original mint box
