I found the description below from the website

"Before the days of blenders and food processors, women making jelly or stewed tomatoes, used this food mill, also called a grinder or masher. This clever kitchen tool was invented (of course) by a woman named Jean Mantelet and patented August 8, 1933. Foley was founded in 1926 in Minneapolis, MN and this food mill was their first kitchenware product after it was patented in 1933.
During the post-depression years women were looking for inexpensive, but time-saving kitchen devices to make their work a little easier. Although the company changed their output to war-time products during WWII, they rebounded in the 1950s and 1960s with handy items like juicers, reamers, shredders, and all sorts of neat kitchen gadgets. In 1984 they merged with another company and are still producing items today.
This mill is still in good working order, featuring wooden handles and tabs on the bottom to set the masher firmly on top of a pan or bowl. It is slightly different than the patent drawings of 1933. I suspect this one is a 1950s model. The masher (or paddle) is stamped ‘To clean - remove thumb screw - lift out masher. Foley Food Mill. Foley Mfg. Co. MPLS, MINN. Pat. No. 1921936.” Bowl measures 6 3/4" diameter and 3 3/8" tall. Weighs 1 pound, 6 ounces."
The pictures I have posted are from the actual food mill you will be purchasing and from everything I can tell, it is the same as described above.
