USS BLUE RIDGE

 

The USS Blue Ridge was launched on 4 January 1969 and was commissioned on 14 November 1970, at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.  

 

From 1971 until 1979, she earned the Meritorious Unit Commendation and Navy Unit Commendation for the evacuation of Saigon in 1975.

 

As of 2008 she was currently in active service and her home port is Yokosuka, Japan.
