I thought I would throw in a little old Popeye 'Wonder Book' that I also had here along with the Popeye Reference Book!

CONDITION: (Please use the photos as a guide to condition also.)

This book is in great condition considering it is almost 29 years old.  It deals with the first fifty years of Popeye & all the characters, artists etc.... from his beginning in 1929 onwards!

It is a Soft-Cover book, the corners of the covers are a bit soft on the tips & peeling slightly & there is also a little around the edges of the cover too.  There is a couple of light marks/smudges on the front & back covers, but nothing major or disfiguring.  There is a crease down the bottom half & the top third of the front cover. You can't really notice this on the front cover, but you can see them a bit more behind it (when you turn the page). (see photo).  There is also a crease down the back-cover near the spine which is also not very noticeable.  There is also a light crease across the bottom corner of the first few pages inside.  Written in biro is a persons name & address inside the back-cover in the top lefthand corner, not too big though.  Where the yellow covers meet the first & last white pages (inside front cover & inside back cover) - you can see some white patches running down the centre - it looks like the yellow cover was stuck to the white a bit when it was made so when the book was opened these patches of white were left where it was stuck. (see photos).  The outside-edges of the pages (when the book is closed), are slightly grubby/discoloured, and someone has tried writing their name down the front edge of the pages (when book is closed) but this isn't too noticeable really as it is mostly done lightly.  There is a slight lift to the corners however, it is still well bound & tight with no loose or missing pages. 

Overall it is a great book in very good condition.  A great reference book for Popeye collectors!!!

The second little book is POPEYE GOES ON A PICNIC, As Seen On TV, Wonder Books, Grosset & Dunlap Inc, 1974 Printing.  CONDITION:  I am really just throwing this in with the other book.  It has some sticky tape & damage to the cover spine, corner wear, scuffs & marks.  Inside there are some small rips in the bottom edges of the pages, some light marks, & the back cover has come apart a bit from the last page at the bottom half, however none of the pages are falling out.  So, it does have some flaws & is a bit rough around the edges - but it still has nice colour pictures inside & it is still complete & fully readable. (see last photo).
