Movie description
This unauthorized biography of one of the first synth-pop bands looks at the British rockers' history from the perspectives of those who know it best. Depeche Mode has endured longer than most others of their ilk, surviving setbacks that would have taken most bands out of the industry. These include lineup changes, drug problems, and overexposure, all of which are discussed here along with the group's triumphs. Jonathan Miller, author of STRIPPED: DEPECHE MODE, weighs in with Brian Griffin, a well-known photographer who shot many of the band's covers. Released simultaneously with PLAYING THE ANGEL, the band's first record in more than four years, this is a timely retrospective of a group that continues to be compelling and influential after two decades of successful output.
