1953 Topps Lot of 9 -VG-EX- SMR NRMT BV$481- A Find!!

You are bidding on 1953 Topps Lot of 9, #6 (Jones), 8 (Koshorek), 112 (Garver), 115 (Spencer), 140 (Glaviano), 166 (Hunter), 171 (Glynn),           172 (Repulski), and 177 (Dyck), which I have graded in VERY GOOD - EXCELLENT condition.  This group of cards would have a $481.00 price tag if they were in Near Mint condition per SMR (Sports Market Report), published by PSA.  The cards each have good registration (although #112 could be a little better), and very nice color.  Each card may be found to have scuffing/scratches/indentations with light to no paper loss (see 140,166,172,177),  rounded/dinged/creased/frayed corners with light to no paper loss (all cards), and borders which show age-related dirt/discoloration (6,115,140,172), roughness, dings and/or light to no paper loss (all cards).  There are no holes, tape/tape marks or writing on the front or back of the cards.  The centering varies, with card #112 being the worst, and 8,115,140,166,172 & 177 the next worst.  Centering is as much of an issue in grading these cards as any other.  Besides the corners, there are creases/wrinkles/pinching on several cards, some heavier than others, with the #171 card the worst, and the #6,8,172 & 177 next worst.  Despite the discrepancies, virtually all of the original gloss remains.  The backs display the rounding/dings/creases, and other discrepancies mentioned above, and some age-related discoloration/dirt, but are clean, except that #6,8,140,166,171 & 177 have light dirt/gum/other stains, #6 & 112 have some very minor scuffing/scratching with light to no paper loss.  #112 is a minor mis-cut left to right, and all cards show a small amount of paper loss at the corners due to the creases/wear.  Please email me if you need further details of any of the cards.   Please see my grading philosophy below.  I will make every attempt to satisfy everyone.  Payment is expected within 7 days of the end of the auction.  In the event of non-payment/delay of payment without notifying me, or failure to respond to email follow-up concerning payment, the item will be re-listed, possibly with no further correspondence with you.  Thanks for bidding, and good luck!

Grading Philosophy

I prefer to fully describe and undergrade my cards, and give buyers a nice surprise and value for their money.  I try my best not to lose potential sales by overgrading cards.  I hope you will agree with my conclusions!

I COMBINE SHIPPING: $2.50 for the first card/lot, then $1.00 per large lot & $.50 per small lot thereafter.  I will do my best to keep your shipping cost as low as possible!
