Up For Auction Patterns From Times Past Folkwear Pattern # 207 KINSALE CLOAK Historical Interest: Rural Irish wore "voluminous full-length woolen cloaks" for many ages. Native black sheep provided the wool used in making these cloaks. The sheep's wool also made the cloak water repellent. This cloak will be ankle length on someone 5"7". It can be shortened or lengthened. It has a detachable hood. "Without the hood, the cloak looks as dashing on men now as it did in centuries past" This pattern has not been used.
