Crowned Jewel Dagger by Faberge

 

 Jeweled handle art knife measures a huge 18" overall with a 10" blade. This dagger was designed and created by the House of Faberge and sold  by the Franklin Mint in 1990. It features a stainless steel blade and a gorgeous blue and gold handle inlaid with jewels. Like all Faberge pieces, it has a hidden treasure - in this case, the jewel at the very top of the knife pulls out to reveal a 4" long miniature version of the dagger! 

 Old-World artistry...timeless elegance. The first art knife ever issued by "The House of FABERGE". Accented with the brilliance of 24 karat gold and sterling silver. Royal blue-enameled handle enhanced by two scarlet cabochons. Guard is inspired by the double-eagle symbol of FABERGE, and embellished with a stimulated sapphire stone.. Hidden within the pommel is a traditional FABERGE surprise: a miniature dagger with a thin blade of stainless steel surmounted by an aurora borealis stone. Hand-polished stainless steel blade. Wood frame diaplay with a leatherette backing and a brass nameplate.
