UNION CASE, the scarce kind, that holds four pictures. Estate sale find. Made by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. Daguerreotype case, with the 'Embracing Riveted Hinge', patented 1856 and 1857.
There are four ambrotypes in the case, all of photos of kids. When held to the light, two of them have a pinkish color / translucent. The ambro of the boy is missing the glass and outer frame.
I haven't cleaned anything at all, even the glass on the ambrotypes. Measures about 3 x 4 5/8 inches. Sold AS IS. |
