First Issue August 21, 1862 - May 27, 1863 Twenty Five Cent United States Fractional Currency -- See Photo's

This is a rare note, it is over 144 years old and in great shape for a note that age! The note features (5) heads of Thomas Jefferson on the front in a postage stamp and a BIG 25 on the back.  The back bottom states "Act approved, July 17th, 1862" and the front bottom states, "Receivable for US Postage Stamps at any US Post Office."

This note is known as fractional currency which was issued from August 21, 1862 through February 15, 1876.

 This note is in very fine condition. There is just a normal amount of wear from years of circulation. Please take a look at the pictures to see the condition for yourself.

We ship all our items via USPS First Class or Priority Mail. We package all the notes in a protective sleeve with a cardboard backing and ship them in a bubble envelope. The shipping discount for these items is as follows: If you win more than one of our auctions within a 3 day period, we will combine shipping and discount your shipping total by $1 for each additional auction won.
