After you’ve COFFEED in Portland, make a loop. East along the Columbia with windsurfing and BNSF trains, further into the wild east and see the Snake that carved Hells Canyon. Imagine the settlers on the Oregon trail trying to get through John Day country, The lush but (in winter) forboding Cascades, and travel up 101 and see the thundering waves on the rocky coast where Lewis and Clark finally saw the Pacific and a Northwest winter! No wonder folks still migrate to Oregon.

And it seems that as the series headed into these western states, the desire for the cars grew and the number of cars available shrank. Making this car a tad tougher to spot as you search to complete your FIFTY I LOVE (the states) boxcar series.

Car rides on diecast trucks, operating magnetic couplers and metal brake wheel.
