The images are painted on the finished vase and then glazed. The colors are vibrant and really attract your attention. Most of the colors are outlined in real gold for an interesting effect. Take a look at the picture on supersize to see the fine detail. The white porcelain is evenly covered with a uniform glaze. The vase has a gold trim at the top as you can see in the photo. The vase proudly stands just under 7” tall. The width is 4-1/4” and the depth is 2-1/8”. The back of the vase is pure white. The bottom of the piece is marked Kutani, it has a maker’s mark with Japanese letters inside and under that it reads: “OrientalGarden”. This piece will make a perfect gift. The vase will look great on a bookshelf, desk, mantle, or in a display cabinet. The condition is excellent, there are no chips, crazing, repairs, or cracks.
