Inscribed on this is: "Dear Father, hear and bless thy beasts and singing birds and guard with tenderness small things that have no words."

Introduced in September, 2003 and measures a 3 1/2" high. Inspired to share uplifting words of hope and wisdom in a unique way.

Family, faith and home...the foundations for life. Artist Karen Hahn says, "Children are a blessing and their words and prayers are blessed with innoceence and simple clarity. The vision behind Foundations was to inspire with uncomplicated words and soothing colors, and to develop a series focusing on children's prayers was a natural step. It was as clear as the faith on my own children's faces."

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Originally hired as a freelance illustrator 17 years ago, Karen Hahn has since become one of Enesco's most valued artists. As art director and product designer, Karen has actively participated in creating some of Enesco's most popular collections.

When designing the Foundations collection, Karen imagined each piece as "a gift of inspiration." Instead of using traditional hangtags or packaging to tell the story of each piece, Karen started writing messages directly on her drawings. Karen said, "I was looking for a method where a consumer could pick up a gift and have the story right in their hand." With her experience and artistic talent, Karen has truly become one of the industry's most gifted individuals.
