ARTISTS OF THE NEWLYN SCHOOL 1880-1900

By Caroline Fox and Francis Greenacre

Exhibition organized by Newlyn Orion Galleries - Director John Halkes

1979 Hardbound Book without Dust Jacket

Book is in Good condition with gray boards and bright gold lettering on spine.  Very minor surface soil to boards.  Minor rubbing to board edges at the spine ends.  Moderate separation of the pastedown pages and the boards near the spine.  Hinges are slightly weak.  No loose or shaken pages.  Pages are clean, crisp and bright with no tears, chips, marks or creases.

Published by Newlyn Orion Galleries, this 7.5" x 8.0" book has 260 pages.

A substantial catalogue produced by the Newlyn Orion Galleries for a series of exhitiitions in Newlyn, Plymouth and Bristol, in 1979. From the foreword - 'Many of the artists came to Newlyn becase it offered them the opportnity to work in sympathetic surroundings all the year round, together with other artists who shared the same aims and ideals. Often their styles were already formed when they arrived. But they were all inspired by Newlyn. To have included works by all the artists who came to be associated with the Newlyn School and to have followed the changes of style in each artist's work would have led to confusion. We have set out to demonstrate the scope and especially the quality of the Newlyn School during the period when the artists were a relatively coherent group enjoying shared ideals and methods.

OUR SHIPPING DEPARTMENT ON BREAK

Just look at those eyes.  Our shipping department is proud of their service.  They ship all orders within one day of receipt of payment and generally are able to ship the same day.  All books are shipped in new, cardboard boxes or rigid cardboard envelopes.  Fewer than 1% are shipped in alternative packaging because of being oversized.  They do not use padded envelopes because they know those envelopes do not protect books.  AND they firmly believe that profits should be made on the sale of the book and NOT on inflated shipping costs.  For domestic shipping, the total shipping cost is the actual postage cost including delivery confirmation plus the actual cost of the shipping materials which is $0.67.  Our shipping department is rewarded for outstanding work but maintain their svelte physique through the hard work they do.

Our shipping department says that buyer will pay calculated shipping charges by media mail or Priority mail for destinations within the United States.  All shipments include delivery confirmation.  Inv. #323.

We gladly combine purchases to save you shipping expense.  I will send you an invoice to reflect the total shipping for combined purchases.  Combined shipping is calculated as follows:  Full shipping charges for the first item and then subtract $2.00 from the calculated shipping charge for each additional item.

Shipments outside the United States are by Flat Rate Priority Mail if the Book fits into the Flat Rate Envelope and the cost is $11.80 to Canada and Mexico and $13.80 to other international destinations that accept Flat Rate Priority shipments.  All other international shipments will be calculated on an individual basis and will be charged at actual shipping costs with no handling fees.
