This porcelain pitcher was manufactured by George Jones & Sons of Staffordshire, England. This factory started its business in 1861. The mark on the bottom of the pitcher dates it to the years between 1924 until the factory's closing in 1951.

The pitcher stands 7 1/4" tall at the highest point. It measures approximately 7 1/2" from the spout to the back of the handle.

The pitcher is molded with vertical ribs, resembling those on a pumpkin. It is pure white, decorated with blue carnation flowers. The handle is dark blue. There is gold gilt on the top and bottom rims, and the top and bottom of the handle.

There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear to the gold around the top rim. There is some discoloration on the bottom surface, which goes to the inside. I cannot tell what it is from. There don't seem to be any cracks in the glaze. Please click on the photos to supersize. This discoloration is not evident when the pitcher is displayed.

• I usually offer a choice of Priority (fastest), Parcel Post (good for heavy packages), or First Class for packages under 13 ounces. Please understand that Parcel Post is Ground Shipping, and it will take longer.
