 Description Shipping and payments
A fine studio pottery canister that has a bulbous, double gourd shape (7 inches tall). It is covered in a dark, sultry drip glaze. The pottery is typical of the Wiener Kunstgewerbe Schule ( Vienna Crafts School) Pottery, circa 1900. That produced beautiful pieces of pottery that had simple foms that were covered in complicated, multiple technique glazes. This piece was not produced at the school but is of this type. It is from Vienna Austria and it is signed and there is an original paper label. It is in very good condition. Ref: Seccessionist pottery, Wiener Werkstatte era pottery.
