1981  Biennial Exhibition Catalog from the Whitney Museum of Art in New York City.  Their biennial exhibition is often considered controversial in the works they show---but looking back to their exhibition in 1981--the lineup of artists almost seem like mainstream contemporary!  Each page is about a full page black and white of each artist's work---liek the Robert Mapplethorpe and the Joel Meyerowitz shown in the second picture.  Some of the other artists include:  Gregory Amenoff, Alice Aycock, Louisa Chase, Christo, William de Kooning, Richard DieEllsworth Kelly, Diebenkorn, Robert Moskowitz, Nam June Paik, Ed Paschke, James Rosenquist, Julian Schnabel, Wayne Thiebaud, William Wegman--and a whole lot more--over 100 artists total!  I can also obtain a 1993 Biennial Exhibition catalog if you let me know before Friday, October 23rd, and can offer it at the same starting price and BUY IT NOW---just let me know if you're interested in obtaining it!
