This is a 1940's-era brush caddy with the original brushes included. It was made by the Syracuse Ornamental Co.

The caddy stands 6 5/8" tall to the top of the scottie's ears. The brushes add another 1/4" in height. The base measures 4 3/4" across, and 1 7/8" from front to back.

The caddy is made out of the molded wood pulp and resin composite commonly used during that period of time. A black scottie dog with a red collar is up on his hind legs. A ship's anchor is beside him.  The paint is in very good condition with very little wear.

The brushes are both 5 3/8" long. One of them is 1 1/4" wide, the other is 1 3/4" wide. They have walnut handles.  I do not know what kind of bristles they have.  They are in very good condition as well, with only a few fine surface scratches on the wood.

The Syroco Wood sticker is still fully intact on the bottom.

• I usually offer a choice of Priority (fastest), Parcel Post (good for heavy packages), or First Class for packages under 13 ounces. Please understand that Parcel Post is Ground Shipping, and it will take longer.
