This book was presented to my mother while traveling in Japan with a Mayor's Convention in the 1950's. THE MASTERY OF JAPANESE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT by HOIN KOSHU TSUJII, grand master of the flowers. Translated by BUNSHO JAGAKU and KEIICHI FUJII. Printed by TSUCHIYAMA BUNRYUDO AYANOKOJI, KYOTO MITSUHANA AND COMPANY MATSUGASAKI, KYOTO, JAPAN 1953. A brief preface includes "for the purpose of furnishing fundamental informations about the Misho school of flower arrangements". Contents include: THE RYUGIBANA ARRANGEMENT, THE MORIBANA ARRANGEMENT, THE HEIKA ARRANGEMENT, THE BUNJINKA ARRANGEMENT, THE MORIMONO ARRANGEMENT. Colored and black & white illustrations, the colored pages all have the original tissue covering. 307 pages. Approx. 7 3/4" X 10 1/2". This is a gorgeous book with, I believe, silk material covering over hardback. It has its original hardboard slip cover. Ebay only allows us 12 pictures and I took more if you are interested. Unfortunately this outside hardback has sustained moisture damage from storage on the outside only. Inside is crisp and clean. Pages tight to the binding. The front and back pages look like woodblock to me. As I examine there is some rippling to the top of some of the very back pages. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. Thank you for your interest and Happy Bidding!!
Ebay's new policy allows us to only accept paypal payments. E-checks are also fine with them. I will combine shipping on multiple items. I recommend insurance within the U.S. Thank you..
